Another pencil drawing in my book is done, abstracted geometric shapes create a flat plane in the somber background. Walking around the northern canals recently I discovered jetties of tall ships, tiny row boats and the occasional pile of maritime detritus.
I’ve been spending a bit of time in the kitchen lately cooking pasta bakes, roasted vegetables and tiny batches of cookies.

Wonderful to see another drawing. How is the cold weather?
Comment by Leanne December 17, 2009 @ 7:02 pmThe cold weather is quite nice there’s a fog covering the city today and the first snow fell last night which I am very exited about. Photos to come soon.

Comment by bee ess December 18, 2009 @ 10:58 amThe weather is atrocious, I see it on my iphone, snow is the devils work! I’m really digging these drawings Kate. I think you work the coloured pencils beautifully. I like the trees a great deal.
Comment by justaperfectday December 20, 2009 @ 12:57 amBreanna they are oatmeal white chocolate cookies they are good though I undercooked mine just a little so they remained chewy whilst crisp at the edges. I don’t think white chocolate is the best idea though it made them seem dry even thought they were quite moist. I will try and take more kitchen photos for you.
Bobby I declare that snow is quite lovely, well it is until you slip on iced over snow and hurt your back, ouch. Glad you like the coloured pencils, I just wish they were as precise as greyleads but a little fuzziness does no harm.
